Crystalline
Crystalline waterproofing uses a capillary action, waterproofing formulation that can be used to fill small voids and cracks in concrete surfaces. Concrete is a porous material containing capillary tracts as well as micro and macro cracks. Therefore when concrete becomes wet the capillaries become saturated with water. Crystalline waterproofing penetrates the concrete and provides excellent protection against salts, alkali and seawater. When the coating comes in contact with the by-product of cement hydration and un-hydrated cement particles, a reaction occurs, forming insoluble crystals in the capillary tract. This product can also be broadcasted onto horizontal concrete surfaces at the time of initial set and can be applied in both positive and negative side waterproofing applications.
